Gifted with a rare combination of stunning virtuosity, a suave and velvet-toned sound and a deep sensitivity, Sergei Nakariakov was named as “The Paganini of the trumpet” and “Caruso of the trumpet”.Renowned conductors with whom he has worked include Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Spivakov, Saulius Sondeckis, Christoph Eschenbach and Yuri Temirkanov. Apart from the concert with Hong Kong Sinfonietta on 24 Jul, Nakariakov will also be giving a recital during his visit, performing works arranged for Flugelhorn, and join hands with pianist Maria Meerovitch in the Asian première of Two Psalms for Trumpet & Piano by Uri Brener. An evening not be missed!
