In Time Of’s Halloween Festival | Uncle Salt’s Court – Debate: The Righteousness of Consumption

As it’s the spookiest time of the year again, Nan Fung Group’s community initiative “In Time Of” will present a Halloween festival at Nan Fung Place, Sheung Wan from 28 to 30 October, 2022. The Halloween festival includes the Sheung Wan Ghost Story-Music-Marathorn, “Uncle Salt’s Court” and a local craft wine market and workshops, where you can just chill out and guzzle with others. 

Every one of us must have asked ourselves these questions when doing our grocery shopping: To buy local or global? To go for the affordable or the premium? Is taste the only consideration? Collaborating with ‘In Time of’, Uncle Salt from Corrupt the Youth is launching ‘Uncle’s Salt Court’, a debate theatre that allows participants to raise questions on the topic through role-playing as the defendant, prosecutor, defence attorney and jury members, while Uncle Salt rotates around different roles to round off or refute different viewpoints.

Participants can take part in the event and enjoy the restaurant's signature crêpes and redeem drinks by local brands.

Terms & Conditions

1. Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.[KKHY1]  
2. All participants must have reached 18 years of age for liquor related events.
3. Participants must not consume alcohol sold or supplied during the Event at the designated premises where the alcohol is sold or supplied. 
4. An e-ticket is for personal use only.  E-tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded, transferred or traded for cash, other products, gifts or services for any reason.  
5. All activities are subject to availability and will be on a first-come-first-served basis. 
6. Payment for an e-ticket must be made by one of the prescribed online payment methods. Nan Fung Loyalty Program Limited, any of its group companies and/or their respective agents (collectively, “Nan Fung LP”) may change at any time the payment methods without notice. 
7. You shall be responsible for reviewing and confirming that all the information, including but not limited to name of the activity, date and time, the amounts, and payment information, is true, accurate and complete before making the payment.  Confirmation of the payment shall mean that you accept all items and amounts. All purchases placed under your name are your sole responsibility. 
8. All payments will be processed by third party payment service provider(s). You shall understand that your credit card/payment information may be stored with third party payment service provider(s) upon confirmation of the order information and payment. To the extent permitted by law, Nan Fung LP will not be liable for any loss or damage (including indirect and consequential loss) suffered by you by reason of (i) any failure, delay, interruption, suspension or any other restriction affecting your online payment; (ii) any errors, malfunctions or breakdown of your bank’s payment mechanism; or (iii) any other matter arising out of, or in connection with, the online payment system. 
9. You must ensure that there are sufficient funds on the credit card or any related wallet to fulfil payment of an order. Nan Fung LP will not bear any responsibility in any case of failure of order placement caused by insufficient funds. 
10. In no event shall Nan Fung LP be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature or causes beyond their reasonable control including, without limitation, COVID-19, disease, epidemic, pandemic, Government acts, social distancing measures, Internet failures, computer equipment failures, telecommunication equipment failures, other equipment failures, electrical power failures, strikes, labour disputes, shortages of labour or materials, fires, floods, storms, explosions, acts of God or delays or non-performance by third parties. 
11. Each participant must comply with all prevention and control of disease measures and arrangements in accordance with the instructions of the staff of Nan Fung LP and the relevant organizer (if any). 
12. All participants must ensure that any information they submit is genuine and correct. Before providing any personal data, participants must thoroughly read and accept our Privacy Policy and our Personal Information Collection Statement at https://www.nftouch.com.hk/en/tnc. 
13. Participants must follow the instructions of the staff of Nan Fung LP. 
14. The staff of Nan Fung LP may require participants to provide identification document(s) and/or other personal data (including but not limited to their name and/or payment/credit card information) for verification of their eligibility, payment purposes and/or for internal administrative and auditing purposes. If a participant refuses to provide the requisite information, Nan Fung LP reserves the right to refuse carrying out relevant procedures for / providing services to the participant. 
15. The workshops may be organized/provided by third parties.  Nan Fung LP gives no guarantee or warranty in relation to the products, materials, information and/or services provided by or sold by third parties, and shall have no liability in any event for any loss or damage related to any aspect thereof.  Nan Fung LP shall have no liability and shall not be held responsible or liable for any complaints, claims, loss or damage related to the activities organized by the respective third parties whatsoever. 
16. Participants shall be responsible for their safety and the safety of their own personal belongings.  Participants shall not cause any public disorder, danger, injuries or nuisance, etc. to others or the property of others.  Nan Fung LP shall not be responsible or liable for any injuries or damage/loss of property caused by the participation of any promotion, activities or event under the Event, and the participants shall be solely responsible for all such liabilities, claims, demands and/or compensation. 
17. The Event may be photographed and/or video-recorded by Nan Fung LP for promotion usage. Participants agree to be photographed or video-recorded during the process. 
18. All photographs are for reference only. 
19. The date(s), location(s), number of participant(s) and structure of the Event may be changed or any of the Event may be cancelled because of social distancing measures imposed by the Government, inclement weather conditions or other reasons without prior notice or compensation.  Nan Fung LP reserves the right to make rearrangements depending on the actual situation and reserves the right of final decision. 
20. Nan Fung LP reserves the right to modify the structure and content of the Event at any time without prior notice, including but not limited to any content of the Event; these terms and conditions; other items; and termination of the Event. It is the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves up-to-date in respect of any changes to the structure and content of the Event, including these terms and conditions. Whenever a participant participates in the Event, he/she will be deemed to accept all relevant changes to the structure and content of the Event. Nan Fung LP will not be responsible/liable for any loss and/or damage resulting from changes to the structure and/or content, including any alteration and/or update of the terms and conditions. 
21. Participation in the Event will be deemed to be the acceptance of all terms and conditions of the Event by the participant. 
22. In case of any disputes, Nan Fung LP reserves the right of final decision. 
23. The English version of these terms and conditions shall prevail wherever there is any inconsistency or conflict between the Chinese and English versions. 
24. These terms and conditions shall be construed and governed by the laws of Hong Kong and the participant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
