Completed 2013 and nestled in the heart of Causeway Bay, Hysan Place was the first LEED (Core and Shell) Platinum certified mixed-use commercial project in Greater China. With the BEAM Plus New Buildings Platinum rating, it became the first “Double Platinum” commercial development in Hong Kong. Sustainability is a core goal of the building, which aims to enliven the community. Located on the rooftop of Hysan Place is Urban Farm, one of Hysan’s main community engagement and green building education projects since 2013. Spanning approximately 8,000 square feet, Urban Farm provides plots for over 300 urban farmers each year, including tenants, NGOs, students and the public, to grow and harvest their own crops.
