One of the most beloved, bewitching and definitive works from 20th-century America, experience Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue like never before as Hong Kong’s very own two-time World Champion harmonica player Cy Leo takes on the phenomenal work melding classical music and jazz in his début with Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Under the baton of Music Director Emeritus Yip Wing-sie, he will also perform Robert Farnon’s Prelude and Dance – the epitome of harmonica virtuosity – in a colourful and celebratory programme which also highlights Ravel’s iconic Bolero, and culminates in Gershwin’s exuberant symphonic masterpiece An American in Paris.
