Joint Publishing (Hong Kong) Company Limited was established in 1948 by the merger of three well-known publishing institutions active in the Chinese publishing industry in the thirties and forties of the twentieth century, namely Life Bookstore, Reading Publishing House and Xinzhi Bookstore.
Joint Publishing (Hong Kong) publishes nearly 200 new books every year, with a total of nearly 7,000 books published in four major sections, including humanities and academics, Hong Kong and Macao themes, fashion and lifestyle, and language studies.
