In the foreseeable future driven by continuous technological advancements, the society is in need of a generation full of creativity and humanitarian thinking. Nurturing children’s Design Thinking from a young age is beneficial to the growth and development of their creativity, empathy, problem-solving and cooperation skills. In ‘Yes! Kids Can School Outreach’, primary school students were led by a team of mentors and school teachers to engage with Design Thinking. They explored the neighbourhood near their schools from the perspective of everyday life, putting creative learning into practice.
This sharing session will discuss the implementation of Design Thinking in primary education through the eyes of designers, primary school teacher and clinical psychotherapist.
