PMQ Seed 2023 KIDS CONNECT Summer Camp (Senior Primary)

In today’s ever-changing world, we want to encourage kids to venture beyond the digital realm and their own classrooms, and to engage with the community in ways unique to childhood. To paraphrase renowned Italian educator Loris Malaguzzi, a child has three teachers: his/her elders, the environment, and the peers he/she grows up with. Through the process of group play, kids are able to learn social skills such as empathy and collaboration, which are essential to the practice of creativity.

This year’s PMQ Seed carries the theme “Kids connect”—our goal is to stimulate the innate originality and imagination available to all little ones, and tap into the power of connection amongst peers. We hope to help kids build a sense of belonging in the community through exchanging ideas, diving deep into autonomous explorations, and working together on experimental projects. We know these extraordinary experiences will play a major part in kids’ development of foundational skills in tomorrow’s world.

Programme Contents (Senior Primary - for local students promoting to P5 or P6)

PMQ Seed 2023 KIDS CONNECT Summer Camp (Senior Primary) program 'Mission Possible : MARS' is set on Mars. In a series of instructor-led activities unfolding over the course of three days, students will co-create a vision for humanity’s future on the Red Planet and unleash their own creative powers. The process will challenge students to work with scientific and logical thinking, as well as consider the complex relationships between humans, our living environments, and our living conditions. Students will build key skills for ideation, communication, and creative problem solving.
