Recycle Old Toys Into Something Awesome

Led by experienced instructors from Upcycling Plus, participants will learn how to upgrade and transform old toys into new useful items. Participants can also learn to use some professional tools in the workshop, such as drillers, saws, and rasps. The instructors will also teach knowledge related to sustainable development, so that everyone can understand the environmental significance of upgrading and transforming old toys. Suitable for senior primary school or junior high school students aged 10 to 12.

Quota: 8 people 

Fee: Free (An amount of HKD$90 shall be paid as deposit, the full deposit shall be refunded upon completion of the programme)

Co-organize: UpCycling Plus

Profile: UpCycling Plus is started by a group of professional artisans, designers and apprentices with the goal to promote social and urban mobility through upcycling and cycling. In addition to providing a co-learning platform for sharing skills and knowledge through guided tours and workshops on craft and design, UpCycling Plus creates a cargo bike ‘Moving Gacang’ that travels through neighborhoods as a mobile makerspace and tools library. We aim to bring creativity, vintage aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship to the public, creating more possibilities in our lives and community. Let’s turn waste into improved taste!

Remarks:

  1. Each successfully registered applicant please bring along 4-5 pieces of small toys to be upcycled, e.g. plastic toys or toy bricks, sized no bigger than 10cm x 10cm per piece. 
  2. Applicants who join the programme will be deemed to have accepted the Enrolment Procedure, Remarks, Terms & Conditions
  3. The decision of PMQ Management Co. Ltd shall be final should disputes arise.
