[Community Guided Tour] 100 Years of Placemaking: A Journey through the Lee Gardens Area

Navigating the Lee Gardens Area, you’ll experience the harmonious blend of old and new, from towering skyscrapers to low-rise tong laus. This two-hour journey immerses you in vibrant cultural contrasts and diversity.

As you walk through Hysan Place, you’ll rediscover the legacy and present of this cutting-edge landmark through the eyes of placemakers. Elevate across different floors via express escalators, seeing the integration of fashion, trends, sustainability, spatial design, and architectural elements, all while learning how the building is poised for the next 50 years.

Next to the tree-lined Hysan Avenue lies a completely different streetscape. Look up, and you’ll see each floor of the mansions has its unique charm: family legacies, boutiques with one-of-a-kind offerings, and the warmth of human stories therein. 

At the last stop, visit the exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of Lee Gardens through five themes: ‘Legacy’, ‘Culture’, ‘Dream’, ‘Progression’, and ‘Connection’. From an amusement park on East Point Hill and a poetry society, to the legendary Lee Theatre and Lee Gardens Hotel, to the bustling and hustling Lee Gardens Area today, each legacy holds collective memories across generations. Let’s revisit these historical moments with the classics.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Each account is limited to the purchase of a maximum of 5 tickets per transaction. If you require more than 5 tickets, please either create an additional account or contact the organiser at  anniversary@hysan.com.hk.
• Participants understand and agree that participation in the guided tours are voluntary. Participants or their parents or legal guardian should read the Terms and Conditions before submitting the enrollment. By enrolling the guided tours, applicant is deemed to have read and agreed to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.
• The event will only proceed if there are a minimum of 5 participants registered by 23:59 one day prior to the scheduled event date. Participants will be notified no later than 4 hours before the event if it is cancelled due to insufficient registrations.
• The enrollment / place reserved for the guided tours is non-transferable. 
• The guided tours will be cancelled If any of the following signals is issued and still in force 4 hours before the tour(s) are scheduled to begin: Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above; Black Rainstorm Warning Signal; or Red Rainstorm Warning Signal. All the affected guided tours will be postponed or subject to other arrangements as shall be notified by Hysan. Apart from the hoisting of typhoon signal no. 8 or above or due to red/black rainstorm, the guided tours will not be affected by other weather conditions.
• The above arrangement is for reference only. In all cases, participants/ parents / guardians should consider the weather, road and transport situation to decide whether to attend the events.
• In case of dispute, the decision of Hysan shall be final and binding on all parties.
• Hysan and the relevant Participating Partners reserve the right to suspend, terminate, cancel or extend the above workshops/events and/or to modify, revise or change any of these terms and conditions at any time without any prior notice and without incurring any liability to any party whatsoever. In case of any disputes, the decisions of Hysan and the relevant Participating Partners shall be final.
