Treat yourselves to an inspirational musical journey at a revitalized historic site and rediscover hidden gems from musical families of the 18th to the 20th centuries.
Acclaimed cellist, Artistic Director of Musicus, Trey Lee will be joined by leading and aspiring local talents in a series of five concerts at Tai Kwun, performing both famous and lesser-known pieces by composers connected by kinship.
Whether it is from siblings Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn to father-and-son Wolfgang Amadeus and Franz Xaver Mozart, or from husband-and-wife Robert and Clara Schumann to in-laws Antonin Dvorak and Josef Suk, the deep bond within each of these musical pairings is evident in the compelling works selected to be featured.
A newly commissioned piece inspired by Tai Kwun by talented composer Luk Wai-chun will also be premiered in this series.
For the concert with programs of Dvorak and Suk, please refer to the website of Musicus for ticket bookings.
